Congratulations to Cooloola Eco Tours for achieving Ecotourism and Respecting Our Culture (ROC) Certifications for its tours; Cafe & Culture Tour, Tastebud-Tag-along Tour and the Eat-Drink-Walk Tour.

Cooloola Eco Tours is situated on Queensland’s Fraser Coast, operating within the Cooloola Recreation Area of the Great Sandy National Park, and based at Rainbow Beach. They aim to provide a natural, sustainable and cultural recreational experience for visitors with an emphasis on fun, education, appreciation of the environment and traveller responsibility. At the same time, they focuses on protecting the natural environment in which they operate and reducing their impact.

Cooloola Eco Tours work hard to keep their environmental impact to a minimum across all areas of their business operation, from using only recycled materials for their business cards and brochures, to working closely with their local community to produce carrier bags for their guests, and sourcing local and regional produce to showcase on all of their tours. Congratulations To Straddie Camping

Congratulations to Straddie Camping on achieving the trifecta of Ecotourism Australia certification: Advanced Ecotourism, Respecting Our Culture, and Climate Action Business certifications!

Straddie Camping offers a diverse range of camping and accommodation options across various locations on North Stradbroke Island. They have just achieved Advanced Ecotourism certification for their campsites at Cylinder Beach, Adder Rock and Amity Point. Straddie Camping offer a more ‘back to nature’ camping getaway, with hundreds of powered and un-powered camping sites nestled among sand dunes overlooking the island’s iconic beaches.


Straddie Camping are dedicated to protecting their environment, are actively working towards neutralising their carbon footprint, and have recently implemented a carbon offset option for all guests. They are also heavily engaged with the local Quandamooka community and offer a number of cultural experiences run by Indigenous guides, including interactive and educational demonstrations by local Indigenous artists and storytellers.

Sea Darwin have achieved ROC and Climate Action Business

Sea Darwin have achieved ROC and Climate Action Business to add to their Advanced ECO Certification

Sea Darwin has recently achieved Respecting Our Culture (ROC) and Climate Action Business Certification to add to their existing Advanced Ecotourism Certification.

Sea Darwin conduct marine based ecotours on Darwin Harbour and the surrounding salt water country. Sea Darwin specializes in habitat, history and intrigue.  Products range from a one hour history interpretation around Darwin Harbour foreshore to the signature product an 8 hour sunset safari to a remote island location to witness the nesting of the flat back turtle.

Embracing the concept of sustainable tourism, all tour practices on Sea Darwin tours have been developed and are managed with the aim of conserving the top end salt water environment and the habitat and cultural environment of Bare Sand Island.  For Sea Darwin, the journey of sustainability continues.
