Tangatours achieve ECO Certification at the Nature Tourism level
Tangatours operates on the pristine area of Moreton Island in the Tangalooma Island Resort. Moreton Island is situated in a natural environment of both National and Marine Park areas. The activities undertaken are carefully monitored to ensure that no permanent damage is done to the surrounding environments and ecosystems.
Tangalooma Island Resort is largely self-sufficient, creating and generating its own water and electricity supply. This ensures little reliance on the main power grid and wastage.
Tangatours recognise that the environmental impacts derived from the operation of their business offices along with that of their vessels and equipment need to be responsibly managed as part of their professional obligations.
