Eligible applicants will need to demonstrate how their project is market responsive, improves the attractiveness of the destination, fits with their region’s tourism experience and will meet long term industry objectives. Grants of between $50,000 and $250,000 will be available on a matching funds basis. Projects must be located in regions outside the Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane Tourism Regions as defined by the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
Applications for the TIRF Grants Program will close on 14 December 2012.
Successful applicants are expected to be announced in March 2013 and Funding Agreements implemented from April 2013. Projects will be required to be completed by March 2015.
